Marketing Support, Public Outreach, On-Site Presentations
In growing the Louisiana 2 Step program, we reached out to various groups of potential users.
I assisted in negotiating with these groups and/or in marketing to them to gain their support and endorsement of the 2 Step program.
The 2 Step Restaurants program was developed in conjunction with the Louisiana Restaurant Association (LRA). With their help, we were able to place 2 Step information and ideas on healthy eating in numerous restaurants statewide including all Louisiana Subway restaurants.
We also worked with professional football player Mike Karney* (formerly fullback of the New Orleans Saints) and Louisiana chef John Folse to provide a variety of content to our users. I assisted in setting up their respective site pages and worked closely with them to secure blog content and to develop other opportunities.
We also marketed the two sites to teachers and physicians in an effort to boost membership.
